United Kingdom Fast and Furious 1-4 (Repackaged)

Now up for pre-order, release date 11th April 2011

http://www.play.com/DVD/Blu-ray/4-/1...t/Product.html

I sincerely hope this doesn't mean the current editions are going OOP. I like these films but with the current box set selling for £18 on Play, I refuse to pay nearly £40 for a newly packaged set where the only additional feature seems to be digital copies.

I still think the 4th movie is censored.

Why would people buy the re-release when the original is much cheaper? *scratches head* I don't think digital copies warrant double dipping. Also soon afterwards they'll release the 5 pack. So much for saving the environment

I seen these in HMV the other day, The revised artwork is cool but not worth the price difference

It's £26.47 at Amazon currently, which is only a few quid more than the older 1-4 boxset on their.

Does anyone have this? Apart from digital copies and new artwork are there any other differences to the original BD boxset? Does it still include all of the extras from original boxset? I have F&F 1-3 on dvd (haven't seen #4 yet) and am thinking of upgrading them to BD's, so may get this.

I'd say no. They always do this thing whenever the next sequel comes out and I'm sure the extras are still intact

Would love to see a review of this set. Will it play on a US PS3?

Do they have the same extras as on the original standalone releases?

I'd like to get this, for sure.

I'd rank them as follows:

#1
#4
#3
#2

Although, I REALLY liked #3, but the 1st and 4th were a tad bit better. And I liked 2, but it was easily the weakest.

Just a quick question. This new repackaged edition, can someone please confirm if the Blu-Ray edition of the films come in their own individual cases? The last one had only 2 cases, in which two films sat in either case.

I purchased this yesterday from HMV for £30.

It is basically the 4 new editions of the films, in 4 blu ray cases, which are then stored in a cardboard box.

If you wish I can post photos of the set I have?

Thinking about getting this very soon - if you don't mind posting pictures that would be great

You get the gist! The red discs behind are the digital copies.
[Show spoiler]

I personally much prefer the newer artwork.

The newer artwork is hot! It is cheaper at Amazon at the moment and I saw someone say their copy of Tokyo Drift didn't work on their PS3. Have you got any similar issues?

I don't use a PS3 so I couldn't say I am afraid. I also have only watched the first two films so far.

Dude, I have ONE more question if you can help me please? Does 2 Fast, 2 Furious have the 'Turbo-Charged Prelude' (6 minute short film) where Paul Walker first gets his Skyline and does Fast & Furious (4) have 'Los Bandoleros' (20 minute short film)

Thank you so much for your help

I have just looked at the back of my boxes (haven't watched any yet) but yes, according to 2F2F, a 'prelude to 2 Fast 2 Furious' is included and according to Fast & Furious, 'Original short film: Los Bandoleros!' is included.
