In the online world/message board. There's a thing call Grammar Error, especially when making post.

Anyone who comes online should know that.

Holy Cow Bay. At least hes not afraid of opening up. I got a question for everyone? Would we want to write a message to bay for all of us at blu-ray.com and show him our support. Its an ideal.

the irony is that this particular genius chooses to criticize bay's grammar... and yet his own ain't exactly perfect.

Curious...first post and everything, but I honestly want to understand something from the point of view of people who know BD very well.

Can anyone expain to me the science around this statement from Michael Bay?

"My films finished in Blu-Ray are better - more true." - Michael Bay

What does "more true" mean and what specifically from a technical point of view would net a the movie to look "more true"?

Nah...I only extend that courtesy to those whose first language is something other than English.

Alright, that's not my language then, so. Your point pass.

But another member here brought one thing up, the person who made fun of Bay's english has a flaw in their own as well.

So in opinion, those of imperfection shouldn't judge others.

Default "More True"

I asked this question in another thread, but I thought I may get a better answer from an insider.

I suspect he means more true to the way he feels his movies should look.

He's said before he is the authority on the way his films should look. And he's rather a zealot about that. He really cares. But he was working on the Blu-ray:

Quote:
What did Paramount forget with the sound on HD? Explain it to me. Did they deliver something less then perfect? I never got involved in the HD version because I was so into Blu-ray, so what did the tech department not do?

thanks for the reply, but is he saying that BD does something HD DVD cant in order to produce a "more true" version of his movie? I just cant help but call a little BS on this. I own both formats and both look great. Never have I seen a move on either format look "more true" as he puts it.

If he says BD can make his movie look more like he wants it to I would like to know specifically what technical dissadvantage HD DVD has which clearly results in his movie looking "less true".

Dont worry, im not a HD DVD fanboy...i love all HDM...i really want to learn something here.

The thing you want to learn can only be learn when you are there in the studio with him.

For some dick wads on these posts who think I can't make an informed choice on what format in the end, has the truer results for my own films. Well you where to shove.... My films finished in Blu-Ray are better - more true. Hd is better than DVD, but just not as good as Blu-Ray. So buying a Transformers Hd is still the best you will see this movie as of today. But when Paramount caves for Blu-Ray in the future - This will happen, then you will see Transformers one day finished in Blu-Ray and I will sure be able to tell the difference.

Bay"
Wow I really like this guy, I have become such a huge Michael Bay fan lately.
I really admire him for not holding back and speaking his mind. Rest assure I will one day own all his films on blu

Yeah, unfortunately there's no comparison available for one of Bay's movies in both high-bitrate BD and a lower bitrate HD DVD encode. Yet.

But as has been reported with releases like Nature's Journey, an encode optimized for BD is sharper than the one done for HD DVD, and requires less tweaking according to the encoders.
