The BBFC don't have to cut anything and they can't be obliged too either -they're a private company after all. They change their mind all the time and go with how the wind blows very often [like a private company].
The BBFC have very little oxygen now so it's really just a farewell gesture that they still ban films [they can get away with]. All the UK distributor has to do is ship the disc from outside UK waters. Why they don't do that I don't know. Put a digital token code in the UK box (with the extras disc if there is one) and enter it on a website -and away you go. |
