French Warner List. Playing games again? Major HD DVD only titles? - Blu-ray Forum

At CES Warner Announced a Blu-Ray line up that had Matrix, Reloaded, Revolutions, and all of the Harry Potter movies on it (http://dvd.ign.com/articles/753/753786p1.html). If they did change their minds, that would be rather sneaky.

Seems hard to believe that Warner would make the mistake of shortchanging BD.

At the very least, if they play both sides fair and equal, like they've been doing for the most part...it just means more money in their pockets.

Maybe it was misinformation and they wisely took it down?

Or maybe they decided that they didn't want people to hear GOOD Blu-ray news.

Everyone knows that IGN is very HD-DVD biased

I doubt they would short change Blu-ray, especially given the fact that it currently has the highest install base. IMO the American releases of these movies will probably be on THD.

we will be sooner or later. i'd anticipate potter to start being release about a month or so before the next movie

Ummm... hasn't HP and the Goblet of Fire already been released in Europe? Why would Warner release it again just for the French when they could just get it now from their neighbors across The Channel.

Because they are French, and the French don't like the English.

lol... it is probably what the HD DVD camp uses to inflate the amount of releases. Sure they'll release "over 300 titles by end of 2007" with 5 different versions of one movie in US, Japan, England, France, Norway, Uzbekistan, etc...
