My copy from Foxconnect.com arrived today and since the only thread for this is in the Wishlist, I thought I'd start one.



Specs on the back cover list the video as AVC @36MBPS, 103 minutes, 2.35:1 AR and 50GB disc. Audio is listed as English DTS Master Audio and French DTS, with English hearing impaired and Spanish & French subtitles. But they don't tell the whole story - from the disc menu audio options are:

English DTS MA, Director's Commentary, French, Portuguese, Italian, German, Castellano (Spanish), Magyar, Polish, Thai & Turkish.

There are subtitle options for all the above languages plus Chinese (Chinese characters were displayed twice which I can't read so I'm guessing both Cantonese & Mandarin), and Dutch.

Back of the cover is marked Region A and unfortunately I can't test Region B right now. I recently upgraded the firmware on Oppo player and it seems to have reset it to Region A and I can't get it back to Region B. I'll have to open the case and unplug the mod kit to reset it, and I don't have time for that until tomorrow. When I get the player back to Region B I'll test Priscilla and confirm if it's Region B friendly.

I tested a few scenes on my 37" TV and the picture quality looks very good. I'm going to watch it on my 110" projection screen tonight and will post my thoughts. I think the movie is very funny, great acting, wonderful scenes of the Australian outback, and an all around great stroy. But I'm not sure The Duke would like it.

great little Aussie film, the amazing thing is they got these straight guys to play such campy roles.

Sad that Bill Hunter passed away a few weeks back.
