I agree, and not to venture off subject, but it be great to get the 3 Aardman/Dreamworks films on Blu-ray: Chicken Run, Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, and Flushed Away.

I'm also really waiting on 'Flushed Away' for a very long time. 'Chicken Run' and 'Prince Of Egypt' are also on my wishlist!

To get back on topic: for 21 dollars you can get 3 extra movies... Why would you buy them seperatly?

well I certainly didn't buy the whole collection because imo this is pretty much the one worth owning.
the others just don't do much for me, sorry to say.
amazing that it has taken 5 years to get this released as a single release, but at least it is finally coming out.
(I can appreciate the boxset as being a better value, but I just don't want it; simple as that)

+1

Spending $40 on the box set is only a better value if you want the additional films. Paying $18 for the individual release is a better deal if that is all someone wants. Will save $22 by not getting the set.

Sometimes, I go for the sets. But they must be cheaper than $40. Got the Batman Anthology (last 2 films ), but the cost of the set from Amazon.co.uk was cheaper than buying the first 2 films individually.

Others like Pirates of the Caribbean, The Omen, The Matrix, etc. the first film in the series is the only one I want. If the individual film is cheaper than the boxset, why not?

Others, like Rambo and Die Hard, it is the first and last I want; should have got the sets on sale for about the same amount of money, but too late now.

I didn't see it mentioned in the review, but the box set doesn't have an extra disc of bonus features does it? ...anything exclusive that would make it worth buying over the individual releases?

I much prefer the talking box!

From what I've seen, walmart editions are 99% of the time lesser versions.
