Because I'm not seeing much of it and it's being overshadowed by the illogical notion that there are significant problems with the transfer due to a handful of screenshots? I'm not even going to claim that the transfer is going to be amazing just from the screenshots. I simply like what I see. Hell, I expect problems because I see issues on every BD release I've watched and I constantly disagree with the reviews on this site.

This is honestly my hope...

I will be taking a "wait and see" attitude with this. I too admit I don't like the green in some of the screenshots, but I am holding out hope this is not what it will look like in the actual release of the EE's.

Or you could always compensate by painting your home theater room green? Eh... eh... I think it would work...

+1 reading this thread causes nausea. Maybe I'll need to go out for a moment or two.

Sorry for being a bugger, Todd. Recuperating from major surgery = toll on you physically and mentally.

Or you could make an annual ritual to watch it on St. Patrick's Day.

Hope everything's OK. In anycase, this thread has started to make me somewhat anxious about the upcomig release, which I hope will be alleviated when I actually get the set.

I'm still anxious... I don't care what the screens show. They may be right, they may not, but be sure I'm gonna enjoy watching my LotR Extended Editions in Hi Def... Hell my TV probably isn't calibrated perfectly anyway...

That's been the point I've been trying to make for a few pages now.

Until one of the major, legit review sites posts the entire discussion is pointless.

Even then, as was posted sometime today (not sure which page back that was) if the films are too green for your likings, create a custom display setting on your TV. Should take 5 minutes tops. Problem solved until a exchange program could be setup.

Dude, you can't re-time a movie using a television color adjustments. For the love of God, people need to stop saying this!

Perhaps the best course of action would be for all of us to relax and wait until we personally get our hands on it. Waiting for the review on Blu-ray.com might be a good idea too.

With less than 18 full days to go, I would think that some official reviews will be coming out very soon.

I have never used "LOL" before, but I literally just did that!

I believe this is still very relevant; as annoying as incorrect color may be, it's reversible, one way or another.

Hopefully it's just a botched encode though.

Would be the best approach, but it's not going to happen. There are far to many people on this forum who like the sound of their own voice (or in this case, to read back their typed words) and just like to b*tch for the sake of b*tching.

Am I the only one that found 'Gandolph' funny? Sounds like some kind of wizard-dolphin hybrid.

Would you have preferred Bladorthin instead of Gandalf? 'Cause that's what he was initially called.

Thorin Oakenshield was initially called Gandalf, and Smaug was initially named Pryftan. Ahh, so glad Tolkien changed those names!

The only way it is reversible is a new disc, re-color timed. Period.
