PS3 firmware upgrades and Mac

I had a feeling about that!
Anyway, the day is coming when I will need to use Windows on my Mac to fully download and unzip files for DAPHNE, a LaserDisc game emulator (think Dragon's Lair, Space Ace, Cliff Hanger, etc.). It would allow me to relive those arcade classics 100% faithfully.....all the way down to the "beeps" and "thud" sounds the joystick made when you played them.

Give some info on that when you do get it. I love those games. Dragons Lair 2 being my favorite. I could play that game without looking based on just the sounds.

Hey, I downloaded the upgrade onto a Sony USB Micro Vault, then slapped it into the PS3... worked like a charm. Wouldn't that work using a Mac?

I went back to the Sony PS3 upgrade site and when I click on the link to download the file it stated to download a file that was a .pup file. So a .pup file would work from a Mac.

I belive the first time that I did this I got a .exe file and I had to uncompress it, and put the update in a folder called /PS3/UPDATE for it to work.
