Default Movies you only watch at Nighttime

What films can you only watch in the dark of night? For me Alien & Aliens cannot be viewed in the morning or daytime. It must be dark outside to watch these movies.

See I love to watch a morning movie on Saturday with a cup of coffee. I did that recently with LOTR over a weekend.

I will only watch films during the night, unless I'm watching it in the cinema, but the darkness adds to the illusion of night anyway. I find that it makes for a more atmospheric experience.

Most horror movies function best as nighttime viewing for obvious reasons.

Horror films I wait till it's dark out. For everything else it doesn't matter.

i have really, really, really dark curtains so if i want to watch a horror film in the middle of a bright and sunny June atmosphere, i can just pull the shades and it looks like midnight in here

so honestly, none
most of the time i like to watch in the dark but only for first viewings mostly. once i've seen something, i can watch it in the daylight.

Same here no matter the time I watch a movie it will always be pitch black once the curtains are down. Some reason for the first time I watch a horror movie I do wait till night for some odd reason.

I don't watch movies unless I can block out almost all daylight. Any light not coming from the TV screen just irritates me to no end.

I dont think the OP is asking whether or not you can block all light from the room but the atmosphere of watching the film at a certain time. Like after you finish watching the film you go outside and is all dark and you still feel some of the magic of the movie, not the same as you finish go outside and is bright then you eat lunch or breakfast. for me would fave to be horror films and scifi film that take place in space.

we get that. but for some of us, like me, we have curtains that block out all light, so it doesn't matter if we watch at night or during the day because with curtains pulled shut, it all looks the same

Watching movies during the daytime seems too boring for me. Plus, I have better things to do until the evening which is when I pop in a blu-ray.

you still not getting it, I too get my room dark for a movie, is pretty much a dedicated home theater room, that doesn't mean I don't enjoy or prefer certain films at certain time.

I prefer to watch most of my movies at night, but by the time darkness falls I sometimes have trouble staying awake for a flick, even on my days off, as I get up really early for work.
