Nevermind the ratios. Look at the actual numbers.

The ratio stayed almost static between Q3 and Q4 BUT Blu-ray increased their sales by 2.1M discs in Q4 where as HD DVD only managed an extra 1.2M.

So Blu-ray increased their sales by almost a million discs over and above HD DVD in Q4. Those are the numbers that do the speaking if you are a studio, not the sales ratios.
