Maybe if they were smart, they wouldn't spend 150-200 million dollars per film. Magicians Nephew. 60-80 million dollar budget. Director passionate about the material.
That's all it takes. Super 8 and District 9 are exactly what people need to aspire towards. Fantastic films with cheap budgets. Both of them look just as great, effects wise, as most of the other summer blockbusters. In fact, they're better films than most of the summer blockbusters lately. |
