I read it more as "taking the lyrics from his album" to be adapting the themes of Year Zero into a show, not that they are taking the literal music and acting it out.

Either way I hope he has the typical level of Reznor involvement. AKA, a lot.

Well I mean it would only make sense that Trent would use his own music from the already existing works, unless he creates an all new score like he did with the Social network.
