Is this likely to have English subs, coz if it does then it will be mine
Also it's stating that it is 218 minutes long, which is the full uncut version, let it be true

Duplicate threads. Maybe one of the mods can merge them together

Maybe it's a limited edition to justify the high price

That is correct. The uncut TV version is 293 minutes the Director's Cut is 218. I'm still hoping the UNCUT TV version gets released on bluray.

This looks to be a combination of the Sony International release with the German radio dramatization audio BD (that was previously released as the Metal Pak linked above) bundled in.

Does anyone know if optional English subtitles will be included for all the versions included in this jumbo steelbook? If yes, then I'll certainly consider it (though I agree the price is quite high, even for a classic masterpiece like Das Boot).

And, on a side note, does anyone have any knowledge as to when the full TV miniseries version will be released on blu? I would love to finally see that one.

It might be a jumbo steelbook, or maybe a steelbook with slipcase

Seems unlikely to have English subs, which is a shame since its otherwise a real nice looking release (at least for the Director's Cut version). Anyone know any good site for info on German discs outside of here and Amazon?
