Apparently Terrell Owens had surgery to repair a torn ACL in his left knee in april.

Drew Rosenhaus will have a tough time convincing teams to sign a 37 year old diva with terrible hands, declining skills and coming off acl surgery which will cause him to probably miss the first few games of the season at the very least.

He will probably get a base contract heavy with incentives... Unless some stupid team offers him something he shouldnt be getting... We all know there are few teams who are like that

Dan Snyder and Al Davis are the two most likely owners to maybe give him or Moss a shot but honestly I see both retiring.

Pretty sure Al Davis isn't giving Moss a shot, things didn't work out too well when he played in Oakland. I think TO and Moss would both want to play for a contender. Neither has a Super Bowl title and that would cement their Hall of Fame resume. I don't think any contender would want Moss after last year but I could see a contender picking TO up in October or November if they needed receiving help and he showed he was healthy.

Cris Carter is a moron, he was the one that said TO isn't a top all-time receiver. I don't like the guy either but the stats speak for themselves and the stats put him somewhere in the top 10 for sure.

Ahh, one of my favorite receivers ever, all he does is catch touchdowns but yeah, I agree he is a idiot for saying that

Stats do but other factors don't like dropping passes and the well know locker room cancer. Stats don't tell the entire story especially since the league has become more pass-oriented in the last 10 years. I think TO is a HOFer but top 10 is debatable. I think receivers like Marvin Harrison, T.O., Torry Holt, Isaac Bruce, etc put up prolific numbers(all are top 10 in receiving yards) in a beneficial era but that doesn't make them top 10. T.O would probably be right outside of the top 10 definitely top 15.

There's a lot of speculation that the new CBA is almost complete after Roger Goodell and DeMaurice Smith flew together from Minnesota to Florida to speak at the NFLPA rookie symposium, and then back to Minnesota today. If talks weren't going well Goodell may not have spoken (or been asked to speak) at the rookie symposium, and the fact that they traveled together is a good sign. I think both sides realize a deal needs to get done soon with the Hall of Fame game just 5 weeks away and the need for a week or so to sign free agents prior to the start of camps.

Good news , as long as it gets done prior to the HOF game I'm good

Carson Palmer has sold his Cincinnati home. I really believe that Palmer isn't going to play this season. He seems like his mind is made up and says he has $80 million in the bank so money won't be an issue. Bengals owner Mike Brown is incredibly stubborn and seems like he'd rather have Palmer sit out the season before he'd trade him. I think he'll get traded next offseason after sitting out the season.

Who, if anyone, do they have to fill in?

They drafted Andy Dalton early in the second round. Other than him not much. They've got Carson's brother Jordan, but he's never seen any meaningful action, and they've got Dan LeFevour, a 2010 sixth round draft pick of the Bears who was released prior to the 2010 season and signed by the Bengals.

That is too bad, Carson was not the same player after his knee injury

Mike Brown is an idiot for not getting draft pick(s) out of Palmer now. He won't be worth anything later. I was under the impression that the Bengals really liked Dalton, so why not trade Palmer?

I can't say I'm surprised though. Just google "mike brown bengals" and see what comes up. It's pretty much all hate. I feel sorry for Bengals fans.

Even if he got offered 20 first round picks by say the Redskins today he couldn't do it because you aren't allowed to make trades.

Brown has said repeatedly that he won't trade Palmer. The fact that he isn't allowed to do it right now is not the reason. Just because teams can't trade/sign now doesn't mean we aren't hearing rumors about trades or free agent signings. The Eagles have already said what they want for Kolb. There are no rumors about Palmer for a reason. Brown refuses to trade him so rumors about landing spots would be a waste of time.

This Carson Palmer situation reminds me of Barry Sanders. Thanks to Lions owner's stubbornness, the best running back ever retired way too early, with many good years left in the tank.

I have to disagree on that, Barry is overated but that is just me though
