I don't care if it doesn't have an NFL license or not. I'm all giddy inside! |

THANK YOU!!!!
2K5 was the best football game ever. AND it was only $20. It was years ahead of Madden as far as gameplay and presentation. You couldn't roll Vick out 30 yards and throw deep bombs every play to win a game, the AI wouldn't let you. Most realistic football game ever and I can't wait for this to come out. They may not have the NFL license, but the quality of the gameplay is what I am looking for. |

We have had a similar situation in the UK with Football/Soccer, with EA making the officially sanctioned FIFA series, and Konami making the Pro Evo series. EA suck big time, and Konami rock, it shows in sales, Pro Evo 6 out sold and out gunned FIFA 2007. I hope Take-Two can pull of a similar feat in the US.

All I need to see now is a new Blitz game and maybe if 2k gives me the bonus for a college football game.
To be fair, though: I feel like EA has done consistently better work on the NCAA football series for the past several years vs. Madden, so it would really take a big @#$% up for me to not buy NCAA Football from them pretty much every year. ![]() Or a better game from someone else would have to come out. I'd love to see NCAA Football 2k8! |

I was one of the people that jumped on the 2K bandwagon (my friends thought I was crazy) but I don't think I can get very excited about this news without the NFL license. I'm not a fan at all of these exclusive licenses, I prefer the cutthroat competition.

There's a lot of football fans out there dying for something new. NFL license or not: I have some pretty high hopes we're going to get some competition here again. |

How many more years is on that nonsense, anyways? My point being: I fully expect this 2k game to be an incredible football game and I think it goes without saying that 2k knows they're putting out an audition piece for everyone, especially the NFL. This new game needs to say: "See what an idiotic mistake you made by shunning us and unfairly giving one game studio the nod like you did?" With that kind of incentive...it doesn't need the NFL license: I'm expecting this to be one of the best football games any of us has ever played. That's what really matters the most: Gameplay and features. Besides, I'm sure there will be robust create modes anyways. |

Best thing about this is that now Madden may have to take a step up in the concept department - they knew they could release a garbage PS3 game and win because it was the only choice in town. Hopefully they will push the envelope a little more next time around.

Awesome news. The videos of MLB 2k7 look incredible. I can only imagine what they will do with football. Never was a fan of EA anything.

I think 2k8 will be awesome. I always preferred 2K football over Madden.

All they have to do is make the teams with just the city name, and have all of the players wear their proper numbers and all will be well. Just like in the 90's when EA couldn't put M. Jordan in the Live Games, all you had to do is go to create a player and put in him name, and voila! A player will all of his stats, and background, but it didn't look like him, but who cares.
I've been a fan of the 2k series ever since NFL2K on dreamcast. |

If the create mode is robust enough where people can make things the color they want, make players they want, and the rest of it? It's a work around and a "cheat" to almost get it all anyways, although it'll mean a little effort on part of the gamer.
I don't mind this when it's a well done, easy to use interface. It can be very rewarding, actually. ![]() I can't wait for this game! ![]() |

the workaround is like what is out there for ncaa football. obviously they don't have names for any of the players. however, there is typically something you can buy for like 10 bucks (prob some 14 yr old with too much time on his hands) who goes in and gives all the players names and works on the facial characteristics and then sells it.
