Whoa! Now This is what 3D is all about! OMG. Skipping this movie in the theater would be a huge huge mistake. Don't think I'd recommend bringing young children though. Some pretty scary and very intense shit going on, and on, and on. What a ride. I think I'm in love he he. wasn't planning to go more than once, but I think I'm going to need to see this on the big screen again.

Did you mean this for Thor or TF3?

As with the limited number of quality 3D movies out there, I stay on the lookout for any possible quality 3D movie. When I saw that this was coming out in 3D, I thought I might give it a try, but now I am not so sure. It seems that there are a lot of mixed opinions about the 3D quality of this movie. Who knows though, if the price is right, I just might give it a try.

For me, passive tech used in theaters will never compare to active tech. Active is much better and is the end all. A flat visual portion on theaters will be enhanced with Active tech.

This is the reason I don't watch 3D in theaters anymore unless I get benefits from my date. It would be different if movie theaters shift to Active. As it is, HT is the way to go!

3D. Refer to the Captain America thread. The same stands for Thor.

I really don't see the complaints in this movie. It seems a lot of people will slag of the 3D if they know its a post convert. I think the tech is getting to the point where it would not make much difference soon. I really enjoyed this movie and can't understand people watching something in 2D if there is a 3D version.just seems so odd to me.Anyway.

i watch thor in 2d eventhough i have it in 3d. the 3d is just not worth the effort of cleaning my glasses and hitting a few extra buttons. lazy i know but the 3d is just sad. i actually prefer to watch thor with motion flow on. it seems to be more 3d that way. i wish my tv could do motion flow and 3d at the same time. ok fire away.

No mate, no firing from me. If that's the way you enjoy it, its fine by me.
Can you explain what motion control though is? I'm not familiar with it..

Pretty sure it's an option to make any movement in the film to move at an smooth rate by increasing the frame rate a little bit, or a lot, depending on the television.

Could be wrong though, just my guess.

well i will retract this statement. watched thor again in 3d to prep for avengers, and i have to say, i liked it a lot more the second time. so to all you out there....thor 3d is pretty damn good (its no avengers or wrath of the titans), but i would recommend it!

Agreed. Thor's 3D is actually better than most people give it credit for. Nice 3D layers.

I can understand why some people would choose the 2D( like if they think the 3D is bad or they're are on of those "hate 3D!" and "3d is a gimmick!" haters :P), but I agree fully with everything else you're saying.

I personally love the 3D in thor. One of the best post conversions, even accounting the Avengers amazing use of 3D imo.

Cheers

Haven't seen the Avengers yet, but am really looking forward to it. I also really like Captain America. Another great conversion. I wonder if on some of the "darker" movie's (Fright Night, Thor,Priest ), if using active to watch makes much of a difference..From what I have gathered the image is not supposed to be as bright as passive, and I can imagine it must make a big difference.

Also does anyone know if the sequel to Thor being shot now in Sydney is being filmed native?

Anybody know if you can still redeem the digital copy for this movie even after its expiration date?
