Thanks for all the sympathy posts. Yeah, I lost a Mona Lisa for sure. Nice to be among those who understand.
![]() No word yet from the insurance, they are still working on the claim. I have pretty much decided on the VT30 if I have to get something else. The VT30 may not have Kuro blacks, but it is still pretty darn good. Unless the insurance reimburses me fully for a replacement of a Kuro, I can't justify paying for another one at the prices they are going for these days. |

It sucks what happened but no point on just looking at what your losing. Looks at the pros as well. With a legit guy to give you pro calibration(if you find you need it) you could be extremely happy with your new set. ![]() |

The PowerSellerNYC has had Kuro's in stock since they stopped being made. The reason they still have them in stock is because of the list prices, they never put them on sale because they know they'll eventually sell out of them even if it takes 5 years. It's only warehouse space for them.

![]() Man I would need to come into a lot more money to justify spending $6,000 on a 50". It gets to a point where its just plain ridiculous to spend that much more on electronics for the amount of improvement (Assuming your not wealthy). |

The monitors. The Signature Elite 101 or the KRP 500m. They both share the same panel, chassis and most of the same internal parts. Although the Signature Elite parts are all hand picked including the glass and the panel itself.
Next would be the Signature Elite 141. And then the elites (111/151) with the non-elites (5020/6020) after that. |

Pro 151FD. Top of the line. 60" with speakers. Truth be told, the non-speaker model, sold as a studio monitor, is just as good.

There is a woman on Craigslist in Commack (Suffolk County) NY willing to sell her used Pioneer Kuro PDP 5020 along with a PS3 80gb version for $1,200.
http://longisland.craigslist.org/ele/2474276848.html She is also selling it as a package for $2500:
