No, 4:3 framed television shows and movies are in the center, retaining their original aspect ratio using pillar-boxing: bars on the left and the right of the image.

Tv series the Complete Bluray Boxset of Married with Children and Sledge Hammer lol.As for movies .. some good comedies like Friday the 13th and Nightmare on elm street box sets.

Hopefully Funimation put all the dragon ballz movies in Bluray boxset someday.

If I could only choose one it would definitely be Battlestar Galactica. Close second would be Heroes

Doktor Zhivago, dir. Aleksandr Proshkin

This is the Russian TV series, not the English TV series.

It would also be apropos to have Das Boot, the 5-hour mini series on Blu as well. Perhaps in a set with the theatrical and director's cut? (seamless branching? or would the 5 hour ed. require a box set?)

Movie = LOTR: Return of the King Extended (if I had to pick only 1 of the 3)

I'd really like to see The Riches on BD. TV generally sucks, but the concept & writing are top-notch and Eddie Izzard and Minnie Driver are golden...

+3, i forgot all about this one lol.

the complete series and the movie as a package would kick ass.

+1 on Babylon 5 as well, another great scifi show from the 90's.

how about some Doctor Who, that would be great.

thanks

For TV, it would be Farscape. B5, Firefly, and the Stargates would be a close second.

Film, tough choice between Branaugh's Much Ado About Nothing, Silence of the Lambs, and Boogie Nights. I still want The Last Dragon, but could not live with just that title, that's more the fun camp to lighten the mood after the serious stuff.

x-files.

would love to se a complete series release on blu. don't need to go through buying $$ season sets again only to have a complete set come out later.... i'm sure a lot of you know that feeling. i guess the moral is patience but if they release any single season on blu there's no way i could wait. lol.

for TV show on Blu I would pick: the new Doctor Who that started in 2005
I think it was made with 16x9 camara's. not sure if it was shot in Hi-Def.
