LOL...what are you talking about?
I asked HD Goofnut:

"...regarding forum members who're saying "a green/cyan tint doesn't even exist" >>>
I'm still waiting for the first member to back it up with a screenshot (not a photo)."

HD Goofnut replied with the screenshots. So I have to assume that
he read my post properly, right?...and I have to assume that he is saying that "a green/cyan tint doesn't even exist"
He answered with a post which included several screenshots which back up
that there IS a green/cyan tint.
Afterwards he replied >>> "I never denied that there was a green tint".
So he didn't read my initial post properly.

So what on earth do you mean by "If you read a previous post of mine, I told some of you they would resort to that tactic." ?

There have been quite a few blu-rays that have received a replacement program.

Last time I checked, your name wasn't listed on the directing credits, Peter Jackson's was! You all think if you throw a fit, WB is going to change the films for you, which is ridiculous.

If WB says this is how PJ wanted the films to look, this is how they were supposed to look! Get over it already!

I have watched all three films now on Blu-Ray and they look great! Did not notice a dramatic green presence on FOTR like most of you have sworn by. Sure, it looks green at the beginning, because the Shire is supposed to be green!

Remember, this new print is coming from the ORIGINAL 2K print: its remastered to show the original color and intent of PJ.

Don't you all have families or friends to hang out with instead of bickering about this for almost 500 pages now???

Here's a solution, just watch and enjoy these great films! I have noticed that no one is ever happy with anything on here!

If it wasn't this problem, you would have another issue with something else...
Huh? I've never made custom screenshots of how I think the film should look. I've only ever measured color values to report facts. Whether you like the facts or not is up to you.

The simple fact that you replied so quickly, shows me that you have no life and this "issue" is consuming you. Your facts are not "the" facts my friend.

My suggestion to you is become a famous director and re-film the movies the way your color tools intended.

Most of those listed had glitches or were authored wrong (i.e. POTC). As of now, there's no indication that there is anything "wrong" w/ FoTR EE. Until Peter Jackson says otherwise, it is highly unlikely that a reissue/disc replacement will occur.

Yep, I counted every single second. Or I just looked at the post time above every user name in every post.

High five.

That's not allowed.

I checked out the color in the first screenshot of Hobbiton. The Shire is a very rich green but everything else has changed color as well. Gandalf, the road, and the animals are green and the sky is now a greenish blue.

I completely agree with you. What I think is interesting is that Peter Jackson has not said anything at all. I would tend to think that if he deliberately wanted it to look this way, he would have said so by now.

This doesn't add to the "magical" quality of Middle Earth, it adds to my aggravation as a fan who wants nothing more than to enjoy this film in it's finest presentation format possible. And while the FotR 2K transfer does have some merit, the blanket green tint truly diminishes what should be a flawless presentation.

Still awaiting actual, official word from Peter Jackson himself.
I don't think you will get it he thinks the statement he made in the theaters infront of FOTR EE screening and the statement warner made last week is enough for the consumers to say that he gave the OK to the transfer. He isn't going to spell it out for you he thinks what he gave you is enough on the matter.

Who is acting childish? I have not personally attacked anyone or told someone they have no life. You are well on your way to a much deserved suspension, however. Good luck with that.

If PJ comes out and says it's intentional then I'd probably buy this set instead of waiting for the seperate releases.

The new colors don't do it justice, but if it was intentional then what can you do?

Don't think I'm picking sides because I'm not. I haven't even bought it yet so I currently don't have an opinion on the issue, and won't until I see it with my own eyes. I've just been reading this thread for days now, trying to find out all the info I can, but instead this forum has turned into a circus rather than what it was setup for, and in some of your replies it's my opinion that u are not helping the situation or respecting other peoples opinions as well as u could be.

I didn't deem it a "POS". It's not all black and white, PERFECT or HORRIBLE.

It could be better. I would love it to be better.

Why are people getting so defensive over this transfer? Did you transfer it yourself? I simply don't get it.

Hi JLTucker i know you saw EE FOTR at the theaters. Did it look like it does on the blurays with the green tint. if it did that should end every discussion on the matter that it is a mistake (even if warner already has said now it is not) But still it would be good to hear from one hear that has seen it at the theaters right?

Sorry, I maintain healthy skepticism, but I don't think "The maaan is just out to take your money brah!"

Feel free to subscribe to that mentality, but I don't.

Look at all the reviews that mention the green tint as problematic. It's not just a few wild-hair conspiracy theorists.

Btw, not one of the catalog releases you cited as being problematic were anywhere near the level of LOTR EE and I think you know that. This is unquestionably one of the biggest BD releases yet.
