It is an hour and a half for each behind the scenes showing day to day operations. they even show some stuff that didn't make it into the EE. Four and a half hour documentary... not too shabby

But after watching these again i see why ROTK got all the awards it is the best IMO and FOTR a close second.

The REAL complained about the academy awards is that Ian Mckellan didn't get an oscar for his portrayal of Gandalf. It was simply an outrage that he didn't win an oscar for any of these 3 masterpieces

I almost have the Windows Media Digital Copy on the same PC as the iTunes Digital Copy. And they are ABSOLUTELY DIFFERENT. I will post screen captures of them side by side soon!

The revelation DOES mean something went amiss! It can mean any one or more of the following:

• iTunes used the wrong Master (likely the original LOTR FOTR DVD EE Master) for the Digital Copy of the new Blu-ray.
  - Question then is, "Why did they use the "wrong" Master? Where did they get it from, WB?!?!
  
• Windows Media used the same Master as the new LOTR FOTR EE Blu-ray
  - Question then is, "Why did Windows Media get it, but NOT iTunes?!?!
  
• PJ Approved changes, but they did not get iTunes the updates.
  - Question again is, "Why did he (or WB) not give that to iTunes?!?!
  
• The Blu-ray used the wrong "errored" Master, and gave it to Windows Media, BUT iTunes used the "right" Master for some reason.
  - Question is, "If something went wrong, when will WB and/or PJ admit to it, and get the fans their "authorized" version on ALL media - Digital Copies included!

My UK copy has player generated subs too, I'm watching on a PS3. They look pretty white to me.

The EE clearly resolves this to a fairly significant degree in spite of the tint and contrast boost, so the result of my fix is, I think to be expected. But I'm interested in your thoughts.

In the FIX Aragorn dhot in the show it looks way to bright. Looks unnatural
Also funny in the last shot here it shows that the TE has more tint then the EE. Which is also evidence that the transfer for EE of FOTR is intentionally corrected by PJ.
If warner lied about their statement that there is no mistake PJ would have long said something to correct them.

I watched the first disc of RotK last night and it is reference quality. It also looks more detailed than the TE Blu-ray, which is awesome.

I know you saw the FOTR EE at the special screening. Did it look like it does on the new blu ray editions complete with the tint and all?

I know there has been conflicting some say it was there others don't What would you say did the theater version that PJ approved have this green tint as well. Because that would put this controversy to rest

Then why did warner specifically come out with a statement that the transfer is not a mistake and that the transfer accuratey portrays what the filmmakers intended.

You all asked for it the trailer for the EE LOTR blu ray complete with the green tint and all. This trailer should end all doubts about a mistake was made with the transfer.

It is clear as day that the transfer that is on the EE blu rays is intentional made by PJ. Thats why warner made that statement because it is accurate and intentional

Wow so many people spend so much time wanting there to be something wrong. The EE of FOTR looks amazing and is a big improvement over the TE. Warner has said it is as intended so I don't understand why the dead horse keeps getting whacked?

Go put it in your Blu-ray player and enjoy it like I did and move on to more important things...

Um... No. All that means is the trailer was compiled from the final product. It not only proves nothing, it also MEANS nothing.

Well, there you go. Green snow is "accurate." Green skies are "accurate." Green hair is "accurate"... hell, green CREDITS are "accurate." After all, a company that stands to lose millions by admitting the error SAYS so.
