£20 Amazon gift voucher

I just wanted to let people know that there is a £20 amazon gift voucher available to anybody that signs up to a free 30 day love film trial. It was sent to my girlfriend by Amazon, and presumably the code is the same for everyone that wants to use it. All it requires is that you start a 14 day trial. PREVIOUSLY REGISTERED EMAILS FOR 30 DAY TRIALS WONT WORK. But if you have never signed up for a free trial before (Or you just want to create a new email address somewhere) then just follow these steps:

1. go to http://www.lovefilm.com/exclusive
2. Enter code AZDM1
3. Once your first disc has been dispatched, Lovefilm will send your £20 amazon gift card.

Hope this helps everybody. I am going to be ordering LOTR: Extended editions, which will come to a piffly £24.99 with the £20 gift voucher.

Just to get this straight, if I register, than cancel after 30 days (costing me nothing) will I still get the gift voucher?

Well it clearly states in the letter that the gift voucher will be dispatched upon the first disc being sent out, but I have only just done it myself so I don't know yet. But doesn't hurt trying, won't lose anything either way. That's what I plan on doing

I'm pretty sure they won't let you get away with not paying at least 1 month's LoveFilm subscription...

They'll send the code within 30 days. Call me sceptic but I have a feeling they're going to email it 1 day too late.

So cynical :P It's worth a go surely? I assume its a goodwill promotion since Amazon just completed a takeover of Lovefilm to get more Amazon customers involved with Lovefilm.

Yeah I'm always wary of these kinds of things, especially when Royal Mail is the middle man. Lovefilm will just conveniently only receive the rented game/film a few days after the 30 days so they can charge you for month 2.

I have used a free 30 day trail of boomerang which is a games only rental and I sent back a game 10 days before day 30th and they received it 2 days after I sent it and did not charge me a penny

I might try ilovefilm for 30 days

I signed up for this last month (my trial ends tomorrow) and have received no voucher as of yet.

and just to be on the safe side....dont rent more then 1 disc.
if your that paranoid about it rent 1 disc watch it within a few days and send it back to them with 2 weeks until end of trail. They are a BIG company owned by amazon so wont screw anyone over.

Definitely worth a go; I did it the last time around, a few months back, and they sent out the voucher no worries. I cancelled my account as soon as the first disc went back, and had no problems. Took about 28 days for the amazon voucher to show up (long after I cancelled), but yeah, it did arrive.

Not sure why people are so skeptical! Amazon own LoveFilm now and even before they bought them LF had being doing these offers for years and years (this is why they don't make money along with lots of other reasons).

If Amazon want to continue throwing money away then that's cool. Set things up using direct debit and then cancel that manually if you like after cancelling with LoveFilm directly.

Its probably worth noting that you have to phone LoveFilm to cancel the subscription btw, which is a bit annoying. You can't do it online.
