The 690 would run you an easy $1000 used, if it's in the budget, I say hold out for a 690! It's worth every penny

Also the 590 v5 is great center. Stick with the v5 though, I might have seen one on Audiogon or eBay not sure wich one, you should check them out when you can.

Thanks Aces, I'm loving the ADP3's. I'm glade I took your advice and got the 3's. Thanks again. I really dont hear a difference going from the 7 channels to the 5.

Anybody want or know any cc-690 for sale. I found one in Canada used for 1000 but he won't ship to US. I wanted to pay for shipping and he still wouldn't

Check if there any local dealers near you that have Paradigm speakers. It's really hard to find Paradigm speakers....at least for me it is, the only places I look for them are eBay or Audiogon.

Yeah I tried that and nearest dealer is 1.5hrs away so I called and the cc690 is special order only from them

Most dealers don't stock them anyways, so they use words like special order! You shouldn't have to pay xtra if your picking it up from them. Unless you have it shipped to your home.
PS. I got your pm. Your price point is perfect for a pre-owned cc-690 from ebay/Audiogon. Wish I got paid every time I give those guys a plug. If your in the NYC area my dealers a great guy to visit.

Hulk got me a dealer hookup now $1200 brand new ash black cc-690 on the way shipping included. Anybody looking for 100's v5 brand new? He has a pair for $2100

Hey guys.

I originally planned to get a new TV this year, but that isn't working out. So instead I was thinking of doing the next best thing, getting new speakers.

I currently have all Polk Audio speakers.

- Monitor 60 fronts
- CS1 Center
- Monitor 30 rears
- Polk sub (which needs to be upgraded as well)

I was looking at the Paradigm Monitor 9 v6 for fronts, CC-290 center and Atom Monitor or Mini Monitor for rears. I recently got a new receiver, the Yamaha HTR-6063 (which is identical to the RX-V667), which should be fine with these speakers from what I've been told.

What are your opinions on these Paradigm speakers? How would my Polks and the Paradigms compare to each other? I will be able to audition them hopefully next week sometime.
