Saul's commercial from tonight's episode was actually the writers poking fun at the Season 2 finale.
Yes. The actual climactic events were completely ridiculous, forced coincidence against impossible odds. Throughout season 3 they periodically bury season 2's climax events deeper and deeper under successive jokes. As if to say "haha remember when we wrote that shit?" "hahahaheeh, hehe, he.... >_>" Season 2 was amazing. But the very final climax event in the last episode or two, as it happened, was some bullshit. |

Compared with season's 2 and 3 this has been a wildly underwhelming opening and thats putting it mildly...

So because WE KNOW (assuming, anyway) that Hank will recover, that means that the character who is actually going through the loss of his abilities and livelihood and who can't even go to the bathroom by himself without help, being bitter doesn't make sense to you?
I'm guessing you've never dealt with anything remotely like that or know anyone close to you that has? I think they're actually dealing with it reasonably. Doesn't make it easy to watch, but it's definitely not unrealistic. |

![]() You're completely missing the point of Hank's abusive behavior. He's bitter because he feels emasculated and useless lying in bed, having Marie put a bedpan under his ass whenever he needs to take a crap, showering him, feeding him... the list goes on. This is pretty much what I would expect from a man like Hank. Just as I expect him to be eager to get back on his feet. And the scene with the physiotherapist is a good example of this, he's clearly motivated to do something about his current situation, unmistakably working his ass off to achieve it despite the pain that comes with the effort. |

This was my favorite show, and it still is, but it feels like this show is turning pretentious. I get the feeling it's so full of itself because of the critical acclaim. It's taking everything super slow, and while I still watch and enjoy it, literally not much has happened to move along the story. We get a little more on the characters, but I would say half of the episode could have been cut out and there wouldn't be a difference. I guess it's good character development, but honestly it's a little boring and that sucks seeing as it's been over a year of wait.

Um, I don't think they're making fun of it. I think they're just pointing out how insensitive Saul really is that he's trying to make money off these people. Is there any proof that they're mocking it? Quote:

I think it’s a pretty established and irrefutable fact of life that in any business if you keep your head down and do your job, you don't have problems, which again all you've brought up is he's trying to counter an on-coming threat ![]() And nobody was denying the obvious suffering, and real trauma that situation could bring, but as we got enough of that in season 3 and with a show that’s expected to only last another year it gets old quick. Especially since they've now established the fact that he'll walk again. Instead we get the same Hank we got when we had no idea (maybe worse because he buys rocks now). Quote:

The blood on Mike's coat/shirt was in fact Victor's.

*the blood on Mike's jacket sleeve was leftover spray from the throat slash. Due to his grief, its likely Mike forgot to wash the jacket, not noticing any major blood spatter on it like Walt got. **Also, I don't know what you guys are on about. This show has always been a slow burn, with wonderfully tense buildup to some of the "more exciting" scenes. Its great story telling and allows the relatively small focus story to be more impactful and the characters to carry more weight, because we know them so well and because we actually have some contrast in pacing. Rather than the mile-a-minute, broad focus, "blockbuster" pace that many other now cancelled shows have tried to keep up. Now THOSE are the boring shows, because we can't possibly care about much of it. Quote:

Well I'm sorry you've dealt with that. Just seems weird then that you would take that view of this situation then, as if it's somehow unrealistic in how they are portraying it. Like he should be up and running in an episode or two.

Ok, I have got to ask was I the only one freaking out over Jim Beaver's appearance this week? I don't know if it was just that he was in the scene or what, but I LOVED that opening scene and I think it might be in my top 5 favorite moments from the series so far. It reminded me a bit of the very similar and very classic scene in Taxi Driver. Anyways, just had to say that I was geeking out big time during that scene.

Six, I am really starting to wonder if you even like this show at all. You complain about amazing story lines, brilliant acting and I get the feeling that you'd rather be watching Jersey Shore then this most of the time. |
