Cardinals acquired QB Kevin Kolb from the Eagles in exchange for CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and a 2012 second-round pick.
Kolb will land a five-year, $63 million contract with over $20 million guaranteed to take over as Arizona's much-needed franchise QB. It's a high price to pay in dollars and assets, penance for failing to develop Matt Leinart and wasting a season on Derek Anderson. We would have preferred Kyle Orton for a mid-round pick, but the Cardinals are obviously sold on Kolb as the solution. Though Larry Fitzgerald is now locked in as a top-five fantasy receiver, Kolb will remain a high-end QB2. Minus the Eagles' dynamic weapons, Kolb's upside takes a hit from last summer.

Terrible deal by the Cardinals. They give up a Pro Bowl player in Rodgers-Cromartie and a second round pick for a player that has done absolutely nothing, and pay Kolb like a proven veteran. On a very good team last year Kolb lost to the Redskins, Titans, and Cowboys, and had a negative turnover margin. The Cardinals were the only bidder for Kolb and I have trouble believing that if they waited until early next week they couldn't have gotten the compensation down to DRC and a fourth round pick.

Relax. 21.5 million guaranteed isn't that much. These contracts always look far worse than they actually are. Good deal in my estimation. The guaranteed money is the only figure worth looking at on any deal.

Awful. When the Chiefs did this two years ago, they got both Cassel and Vrabel for a 2nd round pick. Not only did the Cards only get one player in return for their 2nd round pick, they also had to give up a player.

Giants agreed to terms with DE/OLB Mathias Kiwanuka on a two-year contract.
There goes Osi Umenyiora's holdout leverage. Kiwi is a high-risk investment because of his neck injuries, but his versatility and pass-rushing ability also made him one of the most intriguing defenders on the market. The Giants may now be open to offers for Umenyiora, though Kiwanuck also figures to see plenty of time at outside linebacker with the position in flux.

Rumor has it that the Raiders have made an offer Nnamdi, not sure how as we are still over the cap... Hes a pretty loyal guy, and would be nice to see him stay, but i wouldnt fault him for wanting to play for a Super Bowl contender (something the Raiders are not ), its not like he needs to money anyways, he made like $30+mil in the past few years, plus hes not one of the flashy type of players to go out and buy tons of bling or cars, he actually gives back quite a bit in the community as well... Anyone would be lucky to have a person/player like Nnamdi on their team..

The Patriots decided one headcase wasn't enough and have traded for Chad Ochocinco. No word on what the Pats gave up but Ocho has renegotiated his contract into a three-year deal.

Not only do I not understand why Carolina needs another TE, but why did Chicago get rid of one of its best players?
