Not sure if there is a HK Amazon, but most of us here ordered from a place called dddhouse.com, and so far this place is very easy to deal with, and they are fast at responding to emails to, plus you can pay with paypal.

For those in UK and Aus,

what do you think the Asia/Euro BD's would default to in a multi region player? The cut or uncut version (re horse falls etc)?

I guess if you set it to region A it would default to the uncut?

Just to get things straight. The US blu-ray is missing the Moby Dick scene and there's something weird with the Princess at the end? Is that it?

Moby dick scene is gone and the princess is being carried off the end, in other words it isn't the theatrical ending.

Conan throws the fiery oil on the palace and it goes up in flames, then it goes to Conan sitting on the throne.

The extended version is where the princess kneels before Conan and he walks past her, then she gets up. Then they walk and he picks her up and carries her away. Then it goes to the throne room.

LOL at people spending big bucks importing to get the original version, when there is not much of a difference at all and the American ending is what the director intended from the start.

Big bucks LMAO! $5 more is not that much if you are a fan of these movies and want that version along with all the extras that are NOT on our(US) release, I laugh at people that think this is such a waste, what is wrong with to each their own, who cares who spends what on what? if it doesn't appeal to you, then by all means don't spend that whopping extra $5.

I thought with the difference of 79 seconds between the two it meant that both versions were intended to be used based on the original.

Since Conan is my number one fave movie of all time, ill spend the cash to get all the features etc.

i actually just want the exact Collectors edition DVD version of the movie on bluray.

if thats the HK version, then thats what i want. If its not the HK version, then i dont really want it.

anyway, it is what it is.

I have a mini conan shrine, so i dont mind have mult versions.

The SD extras on the discs are 480i (NTSC) whether you import them from Hong Kong, UK, Holland, France or wherever. The majors tend to do this. It is usually the smaller, local distributors one has to look out for as they often re-use previously PAL-sourced material from their earlier DVD releases.
