I'm guessing a re-release cash grab to tie into M:I 4. It would be nice to get lossless audio this time around. I think I'll wait till the fourth film comes to blu before I buy these again and that's only if it is a re-mastered set of films.

Agreed, a 4 disc set with full remasters and better extras (at least on MI:1) would be the only likely ticket for me. Looking forward to the forth film.

The third does not need a remaster

It needs re-coded, IMO.
Or at the very least, port across the VC1 transfer from the HD DVD.
While not a vast difference, it looked better to my eye.

I will wait for another "ultimate ultimate" edition with 4th movie in it. Plus HD audio.

It breaks up more that the VC-1, but it is a good MPEG II transfer.
But in 2011 no one should be using VC-1 imho

I just emailed them asking them if they were the existing disks currently out there or new disks and I got a reply today stating that they are the existing disks we already have (re-packs).

Yippee....sorry but I just can't get my head around double dipping on Bluray at the moment. I'm just coming to terms with upgrading from dvd, thats fine but not bluray. Thanks for keeping us updated stargazer.

Love the M:I films, can't wait to see Ghost protocol.
