I have been filling it in as people post the information about region coding. Unless someone has the actual disc you never know what the region coding is because the box often has misprints.

The Japanese release of the original Appleseed does *not* have any English subs or dub of any kind. So the fact that it has a TrueHD track is moot unless you know Japanese.

Also, the UK release of 'I Saw the Devil' should not be in bold just because it has the extended cut. The director actually prefers the international cut. The extended cut is more of a rough cut compared to his final cut.

I notice The Sixth Sense U.K. listed as having no DNR applied compared to the U.S. counterpart having mild DNR. Can this be confirmed? They're both released by Disney/Buena Vista and have the same/similar specs...and I can't find anything on the net to state otherwise like pic comparisons and/or reviews.

Then it's safe to say that the same transfer on the stand alone U.K. release is the one in the bundle pack with Signs and Unbreakable U.K. Think I need to order that package and ditch my U.S. release.

Sounds like it. I'll probably hang onto my U.S. version of Unbreakable as I didn't notice the crackling audio, but I might have to replace my copy of Sixth Sense with the U.K. That is certainly a moderate amount of DNR.

Oldboy - version in the Canadian Vengeance Trilogy set has DTS MA 5.1. Version in the US set has only lossy DTS 5.1. Anyone know if this was ever corrected by Palisades Tartan?

The Ghost Writer - correction - There is only one cut of the movie, but the US version has censored profanity in a couple spots. Only difference.

From what I understand, they just sent people copies of the original BD.

Appleseed: Ex Machina
As well as the already mentioned lossless audio, the Japanese release has properly translated English subtitles.
The other editions are dubtitles, I believe and questionable at best.

Bad Santa is another one. Does the U.S. release have DNR? I can't find any scource displaying the U.K. has a better transfer then the U.S.
