Question Need to find Stieg Larson's Millennium Trilogy (Extended Versions)

Preferrably region free that way I can actually watch it on my blu ray player.

Can anyone help suggest a way or route to find these extended version of the "the Girl" movies?

Anything is helpful...even if it is telling me there is no way of getting them yet, with valid proof of course.

The extended versions box set is being released here in the UK on 19th September.

No news yet on region coding, it's being released by Momentum, so most probably region locked.

If you're Swedish is good and you don't want to wait. Try here. Not sure about the region code though. I'd probably wait for the US set if I were you though.

In the US, they'll be released to cross-promote with the US remake, surely.

(And don't call me shirley!)

Why does everybody insist on calling these the Girl movies it's actually the Millennium Trilogy.

Releaselists.com, which is typically a reliable source, has the extended cut trilogy marked tentatively for November.

I just hope that the extended cuts will have lossless Swedish audio tracks (unlike the previous releases in the US).

thanks! i also hope they are given the lossless treatment as that is one reason why i have held off on the current releases. also hope they are released individually as i only want the first film.

Because no one can spell Millennium, and, that title doesn't seem to relate to the stories in any particular way (at least not the first film -- I haven't seen the other two).

It's the magazine that Blomkvist works for, if you're wondering.

Yea I dont get why they are called the Millenium trilogy. The Girl Trilogy sounds better cause thats in ever title in the trilogy. So is the only reason cause of the name of the magazine?

Actually only the second book is named like that in the original Swedish version. They changed the title of the other 2 (something that I hate when it comes to books) to sound more "epic" and "mysterious".
