Default what do you think?

I went to Best Buy yesterday to buy Close Encounters and Sunshine and both where sold out. I ended up getting Dragon Wars... still havent watched that yet, But I was kinda pissed. I noticed the same thing in the past at Wal-mart and Target too. Just my two cents, but with all the people still undecided in which format to purchase, wouldn't it be great if the stores kept a decent amount of movies in stock to help them into the right choice. BLU RAY?

Cool

Yikes!! Bad replacement. You should have saved your money for your original first two picks. Dragon Wars is a bad flick, and I only saw the dvd so I can't comment on the PQ or SQ of the bluray.

Everyone said the ending on this movie is terrible. I have to give it a rent just to see it.

Reminds me of when I went out to find Planet Earth (couldn't) and ended up buying Sunshine, Underworld, Resident Evil I & III, A Scanner Darkly, and Sleepy Hollow.

They're almost the same.

There is a view of the movie here at the site. https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/movie...27&show=review

The movie still interests me, but I don't think I'd pay full price for it.

I think the issue is that BD is selling so well and growing so fast that merchants can't keep pace. I also think that BD movies sales are a lot different then DVD (i.e. much smaller number of people but many are film buffs)

Did you open it yet? You may want to consider renting that one, I've heard a lot of bad things about it. I haven't seen it myself... but even people who like cheesy B-type movies didn't seem to live it from what I've read.

Please, do yourself a favor and rent that one. I don't like telling people what they should and shouldn't like but Dragon Wars (or D-War) looked absolutely awful. There has to be something else you want. With that said, a twelve pack of beer and D-War could equal a night of hilarity.

I wish I saw this post before I did open it. I was only able to stomach about 20 minutes of it before I turned it off. I think I'm going to get Good Luck Chuck later today. I just hope they aren't sold out of that one yet.
