Movies only available in HD on Cable and not Blu-ray...yet.

[Youre My Boy Blu!]

Granted, most of these movies I've noticed in HD on cable before Blu-ray are old. I don't know the reasons why, most likely because it's just cheaper for studios to simply transfer the film to the cable outlets rather than waste putting it on the shelf with little demand.
Still, I thought I'd get some kind of a list started.
Again, movies seen on cable in HD that have yet to come out on Blu.

Previous examples like Legend (already released), Pulp Fiction (soon to be released on blu), Raising Arizona, etc. were all in HD on cable well before Blu and I just didn't understand why it worked out that way.

Well, I'm hoping to get close to comprehensive.
With enough input, it'll at least bring to light big name titles that people want to see in HD on some level without having to wait for Blu.
And it reminds me to output some of them from DVR to Blu/DVD so I can avoid the waiting game.

As far as "big name titles" you can go back and see the top grossing films of each year (back to 1980) on this website: http://www.boxofficemojo.com/yearly/ (click on a year). Its a good way to see what popular movies are missing IMO.

The closer you are to the present the more of all the top grossing films of each year have BD releases. I'm not seeing any missing titles from 2010. But go back to the 80's and a ton are missing from each year. But which movies have been broadcast on TV somewhere in the world.... that's a hard list to come by.
