You mean the new Prequel?

The Thing is a great movie, I don't really like horror as a Genre either but I thought The Thing was pretty damn good. Just get the UK release if you do buy it, more special features

Yep, a prequel. For some reason they've called it "The Thing" which I think is just plain stupid. Anyone not actually looking into it much will think it's a remake based on title alone.

The original is a classic. I'm kind of interested in the new one though I'm not sure if it'll add much to the story.

Watched: Saw 7. Not bad - one of the better entries though it rates better just for having
[Show spoiler]Cary Elwes back, even if only for a few scenes
. PQ was downright ugly though. It wasn't bad, the post processing was just really weird on this one. Although the others had overblown contrast and pumped colours a lot of the time this was really dirty. Everything had a brownish sort of a look and made the blood look almost pink. Audio was good. Plenty of surround use for the various effects.

I'm pretty happy right now, I have the play.com exclusive Steelbook Source Code coming to me from a new found contact I now have in the UK, it on a trade scheme, I sent him Running Man so that he sends it to me.

I also found on eBay a copy of the Paul Steelbook I wanted in the first place, found that in the UK as well.

I'm as pleased as pie with myself right now.

You reckon? The transfer was good, but the overall release was terrible. No menu or special features. Umbrella's worst release imo.

Hi Andy. I'm not into special features that much. I buy for the film itself which i think, transfer and soundwise, Hellraiser was great. I guess if you are into that sort of thing it was bare bones but that happens to be how i like it. Out of the 200 plus Blu's i own, i have only watched the special features on less than 10 of them. The film is of paramount importance to me. Different strokes for different folks i guess.
Cheers,
Carcuss.
