Peyton manning is the most prepared QB in the world. He should be ready to go with limited time and practice. Plus even not at 100% he is better then most other QBs.

conditioning doesn't come overnight though. i'm just curious how serious it was and what kind of limitations he had during recovery.

A lot of people believe the Jets drafted Gholston because the Patriots put out the message to all their sources that they were going to take Gholston at #7, and then immediately after the draft they told those sources that they weren't even considering drafting Gholston. but he is all about timing. if he can't practice or with limited practice time, his timing will be off with his receivers and the Colts don't really have a running game so it's going to be hard for them to win games

Bears released RB Chester Taylor.
Taylor is going on age 32, averaged 2.4 yards per carry last season, and the Bears added Marion Barber as their power back. The ex-Viking even got outplayed by Kahlil Bell this preseason. We're skeptical that Taylor will ever be productive again, even as a backup somewhere like Arizona or Tennessee. The Bears are kicking themselves for giving Taylor $7 million in guaranteed money when they signed him last offseason.

Rotoworld posted a notice it was official that's why i posted it here, the story has now been amended this is the latest.

The Bears have asked Chester Taylor to return to their facility Monday after deciding to release him earlier in the day.
According to ESPN Chicago, the Bears' coaching staff wants to keep Taylor, while the front office is pulling for his release. It's not surprising that the veteran would be a coaching staff favorite for his ability to pick up the blitz, but Taylor offers nothing as a ball carrier going on age 32. The Bears are better off with Marion Barber behind Matt Forte. We'll update the outcome of this afternoon's meeting with Taylor once details are available.

Bengals running back Cedric Benson pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor assault charge for assaulting an employee of an Austin, Texas bar and was sentenced to 20 days in jail. Benson will only have to serve about a week in jail due to good behavior. Benson is being allowed to serve the sentence during the Bengals bye week so he won't miss any action unless he is suspended by Roger Goodell.

I think even Goodell feels sorry for the Bungles...... besides, the other guys in the locker-room will probably be hard on him as it is since he didn't have a gun on him at the time...


Side note..... I was talking trash, and I am CERTAINLY no fan of Colt McCoy (despite being a big Browns' fan) and I pulled up google-images to find a picture of Colt to add to an email (again... I was talking smack, and it had nothing to do with how good people THINK he is) either way...

Type in "COLT MCCOY" into google-images, and it's 500 pictures of him as a TX longhorn, and 2 as a Cleveland Brown.... C'mon now!!!!

Two 100 million dollar deals with jail in between. Granted he lost most of the Atlanta deal but only in America can a breakout or comeback season can result in such huge returns.

They better pray that a he stays healthy and b his desire and commitment doesn't dwindle like it did in Atlanta when he refused to better himself after a few seasons.
