It is actually profile 1.1, there is no 1.2 profile the next step is BD Live/Profile 2.0 and the PS3 is BD Live capable, but not yet available, expect a firmware update in the future. The only differences between 1.1 and 2.0 are 1GB of memory (The smallest PS3 had 20GB), and internet connection capability (ethernet or wireless). Most of the big changes came in the transition from 1.0 to 1.1, this added secondary video and audio decoders, a min 256MB of storage and a virtual file system (which I believe is that folder which now appears under the XMB's video icon).
