Obi-Wan's scream has always bugs me, I never understood why he didn't ignite his lightsaber and frighten the Sandpeople away, I'm sure the legend of the Jedi that came into their camp and murdered half a tribe is still told by those superstitious people. I guess Lucas wanted to wait until later to reveal is lightsaber but the Cantina was the best place for it not Obi-Wan's hut.

The 'No!' makes no sense at all now, it's almost like he wants to detract from David Prowse's performance with that awful bellowing. Vader was almost a silent movie villain in the first place he never needed reams of dialogue and that wasn't a moment that needed any at all. It was all in Prowse's performance. He looked at his son and he looked at the Emperor, he made his mind up and went for it. We can see the emotions buried deep underneath the levels of machinery. It never needed changes. It was perfect.
The roar let out by Obi-Wan to frighten the Sandpeople away was that of a Krayt Dragon.

In one scene, C3P0 walks passed the skeletal remains of one.

I was already on the fence about buying this, but in light of the latest alterations made by uncle George, I'm more than happy to give it a miss and save myself the best part of £60.

Jesus christ George Lucas, stop touching everything with your dirty, dirty hands! I already noticed how a lot of the shots of Cloud City in the DVD release don't even make any sense as there's a closeup of the CG bg and then it goes back to normal in a far away shot. He's just making more mistakes rather than fixing things

That Obi-wan cry is now unintentionally hilarious & that rock formation doesn't even make sense. How did R2D2 even get in there?!

I placed my preorder on the day it was listed, my price has been lowered to the new lower price but my item description is still missing the film cell...there are two listings on amazon, 1 with cell and 1 without....all copies should get it....right?

Anyone contacted amazon about this?

Play it safe, cancel your order and order the one with the film cell. Would only take you 2 minutes and then you will definitely get it.

Think I'll just order the prequels - there's less chance of stuff being changed in that

$38 for 3 movies sounds alright even if they weren't the greatest

I'm starting to think all the replica cells are the same scene. So I'm happy not getting it with a pre order. It's wortless. I just hope I can find a cheap deal at one of the supermarkets.

Yeah obviously the set's would be a lot more expensive if they were different replica cells.

My mate has a Scarface replica cell, but he thinks it's an actual cell from the original footage from the film. I tried to explain how silly it would be of him to have the original cell, but he wouldn't listen. Can't wait when he tries to sell it, thinking it's worth thousands of pounds, only to get like a fiver (if that) for it.

^ Well to be fair in some cases what you end up getting is an actual frame from one of the theatrical prints. Naturally there's heaps of those from all the theatrical screenings. It's kind of nice because it's one actually used in a screening but it's not exactly super-rare. Occasionally there have been ones where you get an actual original frame but that's often been in memorabilia. The Foo Fighters did something similar where here in Australia (not sure if it was anywhere else) you got an actual piece of the master tape packaged with the CD.

These on the other hand are just replicas so while nice they would, in my opinion, be worth even less than the theatrical print frames. Cool to look at but not exactly the type of thing to earn big $$$ over time. Still, if you're getting it for nothing then it's better than... nothing!

This is the only thing keeping me from not crying over the fact I'm not getting it release day

It should drop a few £ on or after release day. But I will be trawling the supermarkets so if I spot any deals I'll be sure to post them here.

Just take a look at the LotR EE release. That dropped like a brick in a pond after release. Especially on Amazon! And Tesco had it for £30 last week!

Thats why I love this forum, I tend to subscribe most threads because other members pick up on instore prices like that! They never advertised it so without this site I would never have known.

from what others said they had trouble getting a copy because they were putting them on the shelves and you would have to ask someone to get it from out back.

I don't think so. They will probably reduce the price of the US version. I have placed orders both at .com and .co.uk see how it goes. I think I'll finally cancel the UK order because I like the US packaging better and don't care much about the fill cell.

The one in my order has no mention of the film cell either, though if I view the one with the cell on Amazon it says at the top of the page that I have ordered it.... when I look at the version without it, it doesn't say I have ordered?! Odd.

I emailed anyway...
