Was that for movies, or tv shows? Just dvds are currently stored on dvd as a prog picture with 24fps. Obviously a tv show at 1080p 50/60fps would require a lot more disc space so perhaps tv shows will be in 1080i initially? Also, most tv shows will be broadcast in 720p/1080i, so maybe they won't bother recording in 1080p just yet. Anyway, I'd be very surprised if Blu-Ray and HD-DVD movies weren't encoded at 1080p24.
