I haven't posted here for ages, but I just had to share how fantastic I think this set is (i started with Episode 4 this morning and I'm now on The Empire Strikes Back). The audio is amazing (A New Hope the best I've ever heard it sound) and the video is just as stunning. R2D2's blue bits are the right colour again (unlike the DVDs)!
I've tended to be more accepting about Lucas's changes to the movies over the years, although I think it's a shame the originals aren't available for those that want them. Enjoy! |

One thing that bugs me most in TPM is that we clearly see the Jedi super speed at the begining of the movie, yet Obi Wan doesn't use it at the end to get through the red sheilds as they open and close
![]() And I've always wondered why they idnt just poison the drinks they gave Qui Gon and Obi Wan rather than use a highly visable gas ![]() |

As for the poison it's been a much brought up point, why not just blow up the shuttle in the hangar? Or place a large explosive inside the Protocol Droid? Or blast them out of an airlock? Why did they even open the door? The Jedi can't hold their breath forever (they did have those little breathing things (like the ones in James Bond) though: which they didn't use until later.... |

![]() I asked the same question in the US thread, think I opened a pandoras box... But in all fairness it doesn't stop me enjoying the films. The same way Rambo taking down 30 armed men with 1 bullet doesn't stop me enjoying those films ![]() |

Most continuity errors are ones filmmakers are well aware of they just try and get away from it, hoping it won't detract from our viewing pleasure. One of my favourites is Stander a film set during the late 70's and early 80's which features flatscreen televisions in a boutique. Beautiful! As for the Star Wars gaffs they're pretty bad in my opinion, stuff like the blue lid of the lifepod been changed to grey in one shot and it's back to blue in a later scene or the CGI Artoo rock just shoudn't happen when the people working on the films must know them inside out. |

I picked the set up from Tesco, my friend works there so got discount so it just cost me £54
I'm loving it so far, the delteted scenes are fascinating to watch(the Cantina scene is full of Enlglish accents, it's great) and the quality seems superb for the most part Happy fanboy so far... |
