Wow, I'd completely forgotten there's another game on tonight. It's already nearing 10:30 EST. I won't make it through half that one. Then again who cares about Oakland and Denver?

I'm still amazed that despite the NFL becoming a passer dominated game in recent decades Norm Van Brocklin still manages to hang on to the single game passing yards record at 554. September 28 of this month will make 60 years he's held that record. And he accomplished it in an era where the running game dominated.

I'm surprised how well New England is handling the weather. It's a brutally hot and humid evening here in Florida yet the Pats seem to be handling the atmosphere better than the warm-weather Dolphins.
