Yes, the clone stamp was used on the water in the lower right, I actually didn't realize it at the time, but I probably didn't need to extend the cover further down the page but I was still thinking at the time that I was going to have a white TT. Last edited by DrrnHarr; 09-13-2011 at 11:58 AM. |

I wanted to have 007 coming out of the gunbarrel on the back cover, but thats a little beyond my skills right now.
I am open to suggestions regarding the Title Treatment color, I have tried a number of options. The official poster used a gawdy yellow so I went with a more muted yellow. My first cinema 007 movie, "Moonraker" seems to have a split personality. After a great first half, as soon as Bond arrives in Venice it completely changes tack and goes from a suspenseful thriller to a slapstick comedy. Still, when I was just an 8-year-old living in the U.K. it all seemed like great fun and made me a Bond fan. The custom cover was fun to do also: ![]() Last edited by DrrnHarr; 09-13-2011 at 07:24 PM. |

Hi Friends
Has anyone an alternative Classic cover for the John Wayne film STAGECOACH ? or a link where I can get one. I would be very pleased if someone can help me. THX |

You are encountering the same issue with the TT that I encountered when I did FYEO. I would recommend taking a look at my custom cover to see how to fit more of the side graphics into the custom cover. It's going to take "breaking" the cover and moving things a little but it can be done. I eventually decided that Melina was the main attraction of the cover and put the FYEO TT over Bond. To compensate I then made the Bond figure larger, but to make it legible you are probably going to have to cover some of the art. Personally I am using a combination of the U.S. and U.K poster art for Diamonds Are Forever. It's quite a challenge because of their dimensions and I have gone through several versions - but it's an enjoyable challenge. Their are numerous high resolution images of those posters all over the web (many in excess of 3,000 x 5,000 pixels). The main issue I see with your rendering is that it seems a little all over the place, with no central theme, I'd pick one theme and build the rest of the rendering around it. It's also a little dirty, I'd use an eraser tool to get rid of the flecks of dirt. I think if you look at the "Diamonds Are Forever" posters you will see that they have a central theme -Bond with the two girls on either side. The satellite, helicopters and oil rig (for the U.S. poster - the U.K. poster has a different lower half) are all built around the one central image. The design and evident thought that went into the poster art is one of the reasons it's one of my favorite posters (that, and the fact that my copy of Ian Fleming's novel "Diamonds Are Forever" had the U.K. poster as its cover). I should be done with my "Diamonds Are Forever" custom cover later today - I'll post it on here. Last edited by DrrnHarr; 09-14-2011 at 12:04 PM. |

About the render, I did a whole array of renders for each Bond and tried to get a unique one for each film. The one where Pierce's face is visible might be used for GoldenEye. I was thinking of having the Union Jack getting "beat-up" throughout the Brosnan era, starting clean then ending up dirty. For GoldenEye I was thinking of incorporating Bond and Alec on the cover, unfortunately good pictures of Sean Bean are scarce...especially high-res ones from the film. Quiet frankly though, I think the original one-sheet for the film was and is the perfect cover for the home video versions. Perhaps replicating it would suffice, no? [Show spoiler]

Here is my "Diamonds Are Forever" custom cover.
Strangely enough it all came together when I decided which version of the TT to use. It might not be obvious at a glance but there are eight separate elements in the front cover desgn. The actual poster was just a little too thin so I had to extend it somehow: ![]() Change to the TT color for Moonraker, courtesy of a suggestion by Imrahil: ![]() Last edited by DrrnHarr; 09-14-2011 at 04:10 PM. |

Do remember that I am trying to do covers that closely mimic the original posters. Over at EuphoricFX tristancol said of the original DAF cover (with the blue): "I think the poster works well the way it is". Maybe I should just do these WIPs over at EuphoricFX, not because Tristan liked the original WIP, but so that there are not conflicting suggestions, and if there are - then the suggestion is given taking into account the previous advice. I'm thinking of the instance when there was a difference of opinion on the placement of the gunbarrel with RR lobbying for it to be further down the page (this was before chefjoe suggested the block of pictures running along the back) and you said you thought it was just fine where it was. In fact it's probably only right that I limit my WIPs to Euphoric since they (including Imrahil) were so valuable in helping put the template together in the first place. It's interesting but the reaction from the James Bond fan community has been overwhelmingly to not have the title on the covers at all - just on the spine!
