The 30 years look back on ESB and the Star Wars Tech doc both play fine.
Same thing on mine.

I just put it in my PS3 and it's full screen. But to be honest I think I'd rather watch it as the little square on the Technica lol It's 480p and looks terrible blown up full screen

Thanks for checking
It's a relief to know that my disc isn't faulty. Do you know if there is a firmware update for the Tecknika? I can't seem to find one. Still this is the first problem I've had with the player since I brought it in january so I reckon it's still great value for £50 for a multi region Blu-ray.

I don't think there is an update, I know the player was discontinued not long after Tesco started selling it. But that usually happens when a BD player can play all regions without having to get it hacked or chiped or what ever they do these days

Same here no problems at all. The only one that won't play is T2 Skynet Edition, but that was a buger to play on a lot of BD players anyway.

My PS3 is still my main player because I'm too lazy to change the HDMI around whenever I want to watch a film. So I mainly use it for Region locked titles.

Hi Adam,
Just to let you know I also have the same issue with disc 9, docs "making of star wars" up till and including "star warriors". At first I was thinking it was just an introduction in small size before it would go BIG but alas..

I came across another user on this forum yesterday who encountered the same problems, you can read up on it if you go a handful of pages back.

I own a Panasonic blu ray player from 2008 and never ran any firmware updates either, but I'm not a 100% sure yet this is the solution?
Oh and my boxset isn't dodgy from a guy on a corner for 20 pounds or anything like that, it's an official. The Dutch/French language issue.

I've posted this problem on a Dutch forum as well but noone reported having the same issues, I was only advised to run a firmware update as that was the conclusion most people came to.

Good luck and hopefully we'll be able to enjoy these docs soon without having to sit 10 inches from the screen

Either bootleg, damaged or an asian version with all asian language writing, menus and only 2.1 english audio (if you can navigate the asian menu to change it).

That's my guess(es). I'm tempted to pay the money just to find out, knowing I'm covered by paypal.

Could just be a scam in the traditional sense, the date of joining might not matter, professionals would have signed up many years ago, and kept them active every now and again by selling something small. Like magic tricks, don't be surprised by the lengths some of these con men will go to.

So who has actually bought it for the 22.90? I did as curiosity got the better of me. I'm quite intrigued to see how many of us on here have bought it.

Thanks for letting me know that it's not just my player which is at fault.
I wonder why the picture shrinks like this? I've never seen anything like it before

It's most likely not the disc's fault from what I hear, I guess we both need an updated Blu ray player, yours was a not so well known brand I understood and mine's a model that probably was thought of in 2007 lol.
A Blu ray player is like a computer that needs an update ever so often...sometimes I get nostalgic for VHS and Laserdisc :S

I will try to do an update soon and will let you know if this helped. And if an update is unavailable for your player...it will be Christmas in 3 months already

Anyone else notice we now get (in the UK) the uncut version of Attack Of The Clones? We now get to see the headbutt between Jango Fett and Obiwan on platform. Previous version was cut to recieve a PG rating rather than 12.

This was the deciding factor for some on whether they would get the UK or US set but thankfully the BBFC confirmed that all cuts were restored a week or 2 ago.

Same here. I was straight up and asked 'What's the catch? Chinese bootlegs?'

He replied that they were genuine, so we'll see...
