That's what I don't understand I guess..... In this case, Blu-ray would be "Good enough for you"

Which, if you think about it, is currently how a lot of DVD owners feel, who haven't upgraded to Blu-ray yet (or will at all)

Just because something new comes out, it won't make the Blu-rays you own obsolete unless you allow it to.

If something else comes out, just keep, and enjoy your Blu-rays. If you currently love them, as you claim to... I don't see how anything else coming out would make it a "loss of $3,000" for you. What if Blu-ray and all physical media ceased production immediately..... You still have the Blu-rays you have, and can still enjoy them..... You bought them at whatever price you bought them at because you thought you'd get at least that much enjoyment out of them..... if you thought they'd increase in value, then you need to find a better investment strategy
