You can't re-record Leopold Stokowski, it would be a sacrilege...

Fantasia is old and grainy -- I remember seeing Fantasia 2000 on IMAX in NYC, and the grain in The Sorcerer's Apprentice really stood out. But I'm sure Disney will apply liberal amounts of TLC to the eventual BD release -- to both picture and sound. After all, Sleeping Beauty is getting a 7.1 mix, so I guess all of the classics will get the royal treatment.

Like with the Spielberg and Pixar releases, I'm getting every single BD of the films supervised by Walt himself. This is what this format is made for, after all.
