I bought a new Panasonic 3D blu ray player and got the mail in for Avatar 3D. I immediately put it on Ebay as I don't have a 3D TV (yet). They are selling for between $70-110, so I should be able to recoup a good chunk of the blu ray player cost (which was around $160).

I may eventually buy Avatar 3D when it goes mainstream and I can get it for $15.

Ebay sellers are selling the 3D version for up to $100.00 that's a total rip...So you guys think MARCH 2012 is a release date?

Same here - I just listed ours last night, right before a copy sold for $88. Within minutes of the listing, the same initial bidder for that auction had bid $69.99 (the starting bid) for our copy! Our auction ends at around 7:45PM PST on Sunday night.

I doubt that I will be buying a copy any time soon, though - no plan to buy 3D hardware, and no need to watch this movie again.

I must say, it is particularly satisfying to see all of the little communist wannabes scrambling to pay whatever the market requires to have a copy of this anthem of socialism, which, itself, was only made possible by technology developed by companies that only exist because of the capitalist system!

Now that I have pissed everyone off... what exactly is included on this blu-ray? I read here that it is the theatrical version of the movie, but what extras are included?

Thanks in advance!

Just sold mine on Amazon resellers this morning, listed @ $110. I only paid $80 for the Blu-Ray player.

Was that an auction or buy-it-now? How long was it listed?

I am liking the fact that my auction ends on Sunday night... that is, apparently, the best time for an auction to end. It is a holiday weekend, but it is still a good time, I think. I actually changed the listing from 5 to 3 days, so it would end on Sunday, only seconds before I got my first bid!

I read that when Avatar first came out on 3D Blu-ray, it was only available from Panasonic and copies sold for as much as $400 on eBay!

yup, pretty sure that was around christmas time, everyone was scrambling to get this... just burned a copy to watch until it's given a proper release with extras and such. don't panasonic's exclusive rights end this year?
