Imo it's going to be more than just releasing a new promo campaign.

A promo campaign launched to hype ... a promo campaign?
We all love KB, but Sony would get laughed off the planet because of tghe arrogance, and after the errors of 2006/7 they know better imo.

Between the initial trailer and the KB one, it feels more substantial imo.

original trailer: a bunch of WWII soldiers arrive to a secret hidden location, and get in a giant theatre where obviously a ton of other gaming archetypes are (hinted at by the ton of weapons, both modern, sci fi and medieval, that have been left at the coat hangers).
Feels like both a ton of games, and a ton of online possibilities.

With KB, we have him hinting at a long overdue project of his, something that he says "I'm not coming back to the gaming industry to sell some watered down get grandma off the couch weaksauce. We're taking that sweet playstation gaming juice you've always loved, throwing it into an industrial sized 3D HD access to online gaming for free centrifuge and unleashing it into a 5 ounces form that could kill a centaur. "

=PS Vita official US launch date?

Other possibility: New XMB interface and online functionalities, preparing for the launch of Vita, so kinda a combined effect PS3/ Vita.
