I might be able to play U3 on Friday night if the codes and servers are active by 11:30pm. Also, if the codes work in Canada. ALSO, if someone gets me a code tomorrow... (wink wink, nudge nudge)!

It could be his backup in case someone already stole the code from his first cup.

I found two codes online that you can redeem on the Subway website to try and win prizes. I used 3 different email addresses and still didn't win.

U.S. (and Canada) players have a faster connection with Naughty Dog's servers which makes for the best gaming experience possible. They can pick up their copy on 11/1/11. I don't feel bad for them.
Whatever, as far as I'm concerned it's you Americans which make my game lag. Anyway, based on my experience(all 54 levels of it) with Uncharted 2 Naughty Dog will do a great job making it as smooth as possible. I used to party up with Americans on my friends list all the time and they never complained one bit.

Also in regards to the beta progress carrying across, did they mean the public beta from a couple of months ago? Or this current subway promotion only? It's just that I got up to level 25 during the public beta and it would be awesome if that would carry across...

Subway promotion only. No carry over from the earlier beta.

Well jeez, I am ever so sorry for having the audacity to want to play an online game despite having been born in another country than you. If it's allright with you, superior American person, I will proceed to hang my head in shame and think about what I might do to prevent my unfortunately continued existence from being a nuisance to you.

Nothing personal to you, just telling it like it is. The last couple months I've been playing U2 online, it's been filled with mostly people from other countries... and those people lag hard which give them an unfair advantage, and make it frustrating as hell to play online. But the countries that I have mostly come across (that lag hard) have been Brazil, Mexico, Chile, and Germany.

Subway promo beta only will be carried over to retail. Therefore, it looks like only US players will be able to take advantage... especially if the software is region locked despite the type of PSN account. By that I mean that a US PSN account active in Europe might not be able to use the Subway beta software.

Why else would there be a multiplayer thread? To talk about one's solo conquests over the digital worlds of noobs?

I knew it!!! They are out to screw me! It's a giant conspiracy to keep this hardcore Canuck from partaking in this beta! First, they don't want my money. Now they want to make certain that I don't get a code!

LT COMMANDER WORF: Captain. Strange readings directly ahead. The sarcasm detector appears to be malfunctioning. These readings are... impossibly high.

Look, it's completely understandable that you want to play smoothly and that it's frustrating when opposing players appear to be given unfair advantages due to lag - I've been there numerous times myself (although IMO it's probably got less to do with their geographical location than them using lag switches). What got to me was your attitude about it, which is frankly appaling. You made it sound like those of us outside the US are trying to ruin your gaming experience on purpose and that we're getting our "just comeuppance" by being prevented from playing early. I take offense at that mentality.

I doubt that EVERY single Chilean, Mexican, German, and Brazilian is using a lag switch. I'm not new to Uncharted, so I'm familiar with how the online gameplay should be. Almost 2 years old, U2 online gaming has become ridiculous with less and less people playing. And it actually has everything to do with their geographical locations. Because the game is P2P, the farther away the host is related to the other players, the more lag there is. That's the problem when there's so few players playing. The more players there are, the more of a local match you'll get... ergo, no lag.

All the more reason not to hold them responsible, then. If there's a flaw in the sytem, it's not the gamers' fault.

I'm not going to hold the gamer responsible per say, but I'm still ticked off when they have lag in their gameplay. Why? Because of their geographical location. So yes, I hate playing against said gamers. There's no flaw in the system, that's just how the system works. Will it be changed for U3? Possibly, I don't know. But case in point, when you can see how many bars they have before you go into the match, and you see that they only have 1, 2, or 3 bars.... that's annoying. I never have less than 4 bars, because I'm getting anywhere from 15-19 mbps download with my cable internet. I can ***** and complain as much as I want when the other person has a barely adequate internet connection.... everyone has that right.

I'll get you a code if you really want one. But you'd be third on the list and I don't plan on buying three drinks at the same time.

That's all fine and well and understandable. You're missing my point though. What I took offense to were these things you said:

"I don't care about the international players" and "They can pick up their copy on 11/1/11. I don't feel bad for them."

Being annoyed at lag is fine. Taking it out your frustrations on international gamers is pretty dickish.

First off, it was ND's decision to roll out this early MP for NA only, not mine.

But in regard to earlier said comments, I apologize to you.
