I'm happy the promotion is US only. When the PSN network came back up, it was US only for about a day. My friends and I played UC2 that day and it was the best the game ever played. No dying around corners, no putting whole clips into people and watching then get away, no mystery punches or grenades coming from dead bodies. It was beautiful! Then the rest of the world came back online and all the lag problems came back. I just want to play the game fairly and the way Naughty Dog set it up, it gives an unfair advantage to everyone outside the US. So be mad at me if you must that I'm happy that for a full month, I'll be able to play the game fairly. But let's say that Naughty Dog were to move the servers to Brazil, then I'd be happy to have them open up the promotion worldwide.

It's pretty amusing people blaming lag for 'loading a full clip into someone' and not getting a kill since I'm pretty sure Uncharted 2 uses client side hit detection, which means lag has nothing to do with it. In fact 'getting killed around corners' completely contradicts the 'full clip' issue as well, since that in itself proves client side hit detection is in use.

Also FYI to some of you, any lag experienced by the master race is also experienced by the players across the ocean, so there's no advantage gained from it by anyone. In fact you'd think any advantage gained would be by whomever is closest to the servers...

If you don't think there is lag, go on youtube and look up video's that put footage recorded from both players side by side and you'll see that lag does exist. When you watch some of the videos you'll see that the reason I can put a full clip into some and it not kill them is because they are not where I'd be shooting on my screen. They're a half second to a second ahead of me on their screen. And yes, people not in America experience lag too but not from the US. I play with some people from Mexico (better to have some laggers on my team to help balance it out) and they complain that Brazilians are laggy to them. It all comes down to the distance the player is from the server.

I'm glad that it starts at midnight...so that by the time we get around to playing (tomorrow night Justin/Petra?) they can have any huge issues that may pop up already fixed like they did for the beta.

Yeah and for people like me with not-government internet speeds, I can download it overnight/early tomorrow.

I'm depending on another member to get me a code, so I have no idea when I'll get mine. Beggars can't be choosers

Whenever I do get it though, it'll likely take a while to download a 4GB file for me. I have a pretty good internet speed...but not a super high one like some others might.

But we usually play pretty late, so I should be good regardless
