They cancel this show but the same old CSI crap, hospital crap, and lame comedies get green-lighted every year. I know why though - Sci Fi costs money to produce and dramas dont. Scifi cost money but as well only bring in small numbers in viewers in many cases compare to CSI/Grey's Anatomy. You can dislike shows of that type but they make tons of money cause a heck of a lot of people watch them compared to something like V
