In no particular order:

Casablanca
The Complete Metropolis
Psycho
The Phantom Carriage
Ben-Hur
M
The African Queen
The Maltese Falcon
Gone with the Wind
Taxi Driver

My reasoning was to list movies that have received great restorations/transfers since everyone else was listing the high-end PQ/AQ releases (Avatar, Dark Knight, LotR).

The idea of a top ten must have list is pretty subjective and comes up on this site over and over and over.

Now if the OP wants to be more specific, then we might have a viable topic.

How about:
The ten best 7.1 lossless tracks on bluray
or
The ten must have blurays (pre Y2K) simply for their PQ.

My favorites (new to blu ray though)

1. Kick-Ass
2. Harry Potter Ultimate Editions (all of them)
3.Scream Trilogy 5 Film Set
4. Bridesmaids
5. Avatar Special Edition
6. Planet Earth
7. The Hangover
8. District 9
9. Scream 4
10. The Town

As I only have 28 blu rays I know my list isn't the best..just the favorites of the ones I currently own..I've had more in the past but have traded them off..but just a few more.

I was ready to write off your list, like everyone else who says Avatar, until I saw the BBS set. List is in no particular order:

1. BBS Set

4. Up
5. Dr. Strangelove
6. Yojimbo/Sanjuro
7. High and Low
8. LOTR EE
9. It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World
10. Charade

So many others to choose from.

Nope. I just wanted to beef up my collection and wanted to hear people's thoughts on the Blu-rays they love the most. I already own most of the movies mentioned in this thread, the real question is; which ones do I want to Re-purchase for my Bly-ray collection.

Check the list in my link in my signature for that one. I can tell you what the best 7.1 tracks are if you're interested.
