Did you have your PSN ID in the Qore video at any point though? Seems there has to be something more to it than these videos for it to be a console ban and yet not touch the account.

EDIT: Seems Sony only ban consoles and not accounts no matter what so I guess even for something like a beta video they might go that far. Seems a bit extreme though.

i know it's weird , they'll leave the account alone ( i'm not sure so far ) and ban the console and it's not like i was playing illegal copies i was playing retail copies that i bought ( a lot of times 1 week before release date )

hopefully it's not permanent ban

damn it i tried to log into PS forums and they won't let me

EDIT: those qore videos usually gets taken down from YT and that's it and i'm not alone in doing that , so far my Qore video hasn't been taken down by YT or sony

I sympathize with your plight kx11, but sometimes it is worth the time to read through those agreements (NDA's or otherwise) every once in a while just so you have some basic familiarity with what can and cannot be done. About 90% of the time, I just do what you did in your Home video-scroll through all the goobledegook and hit the Accept button after I've gotten to the end. But even after all of that, especially with Betas, I have a basic understanding that sharing information regarding something along these lines-unless you're posting in an area that's clearly associated with the Beta or dealing with the Beta releasing party directly. Making videos of Betas would most definitely fall into that category of "I don't think I should be doing this..." even on a basic level. If I strongly wanted to share something like this, then I would make it a point to read the fine-print first. If the QORE thing is related to your ban, then same rules apply I would have to believe.

Unfortunately, when we hit the "I agree" or "I accept" button, it signifies that we have read and understood what we're agreeing to or accepting, regardless of whether it actually was read/understood or not.

But I hope it works out for you in the end man.

So the lesson here is....

Reading is fundamental!

In the future, don't sign anything without full knowledge of what you are signing.

Do you think anyone read that last user agreement. It was longer than my mortgage, car loan, will and 1040 long form put together. And the language was such you needed a lawyer to explain it.

I would wager less than 1% reads ANY of the EULA's that we agree to when we upgrade the firmware in the PS3, or we buy music online, or videos online, or whatever. We click okay, and move along.

lol, this is interesting... never saw this before:

http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/eulalyzer.html

Quote:
Making EULAs Easy Discover if the software you're about to install displays pop-up ads, transmits personally identifiable information, uses unique identifiers to track you, or much much more. EULAlyzer can analyze license agreements in seconds, and provide a detailed listing of potentially interesting words and phrases.

The Benefits

Discover potentially hidden behavior about the software you're going to install
Pick up on things you missed when reading license agreements
Keep a saved database of the license agreements & documents you view
Instant results - super-fast analysis in just a second

And with additional features like the EULA Research Center, which optionally allows users to anonymously submit license agreements they scan to help us to further improve the program, everyone can be a part of the effort to make something that used to be so tedious, so easy.

Know What You're Getting Into When installing software, never just click past the license agreement. When joining a new site, don't just write off the privacy policy as too long and verbose to read. Pop it into EULAlyzer, and EULAlyze it!

*Note: This program does not provide legal advice. It can only highlight information that you may want to consider before making your own decision whether to agree to a license agreement or not. You should always consult a lawyer (or other authorized individual) for advice on legal issues.

No, but by hitting the Agree/Accept button you are pretty much indicating that you're going along with what was said. Regardless of whether you actually read it or not, much less understood it heh! I hardly read any of the agreements on anything I install/utilize in my life, especially when it comes to software/console usage but at least I go in with a basic what's right and what's wrong understanding. And if I'm not sure about something before I'm about to do it, then I read the fine print.

From a legal standpoint, you might be better off not reading it at all. Everybody (including judges and juries) knows that nobody really reads those things before clicking through, and you cannot substantively agree with something you have not read. However, if you admit that you read, understood, and agreed to the click-through agreement, then you affirmatively bind yourself to it. In these cases, ignorance may be your friend to an extent.

I never really read any of it or in detail, to be perfectly honest. But after dealing with NDA's with my previous job, and being part of several Betas (the PC, the PS2 G.A.P. days up until the current Home and game Betas on the PS3), I've learned that blabbing about something that you're not supposed to has become second-nature anymore

That's true. But of course for an agreement to be legal, you can't be drunk. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
