People commenting on HD DVD-R as a recordable format for PCs/business have not done even rudimentary fact checking to determine the current status of the PC HD DVD reality.

The HD DVD burning technology is at least 2 years (I'm being generous) behind BD-RE delivery.

1. Try to find a retail upgrade HD DVD burner.
2. Try to find a HD DVD-RW spec.

I say "try", because in December 2006, when I bought my first retail upgrade BD burner for my home video editing/authoring station (a fast Desktop that sees yearly cpu/mobo upgrades), no retail HD DVD burner drive was available, months later when I bought my second BD burner to be used in a portable USB enclosure, no retail HD DVD burner drive was available.

Even today, you can't buy them anywhere outside of the integrated ones on a hyper-expensive toshiba laptop.
