I think the rock sounds the best with its Uncompressed audio.

i'm still using lossy audio. anyone know where to find a good deal on a HD surround reciever?

I think Ratatouille sounds phenomenal. The lightning scene, shotgun scene, and the escape scene in the sewer sound awesome!

Cars, The Rock, and Con-Air! Any of the Pirates are good as well, and 300's PCM track was good too.

Not likely. The closest available would probably be the Onkyo 605, but for the price difference, I would recommend the Onkyo 705 or Onkyo 805 instead.
